Stuff I Recommend
People ask me all the time what products I recommend. Below is a list of everything from supplements to tampons. These are all products that I have used and love. Some of the links below are affiliate links, which means that when you click on one of my affiliate links to a company website and purchase a product from that site, I receive a percentage of the sales. But the price is the same for you either way. This helps offset some of the costs of maintaining this site. I will never recommend a product that I cannot fully support. Thank you!
Supplements
There are a few supplements that I try to take daily:
Prenatal Vitamins- These are important to take if you're pregnant, nursing, or could become pregnant. They're actually fine for any woman. Two of my favorites are Designs for Health Prenatal Pro and Thorne Research Basic Prenatal. Both of these are pure, quality products, often recommended by naturopathic doctors. They both contain a special folate blend, rather than folic acid. I also recommend food-based prenatals like Garden of Life Raw Prenatal and Megafood Baby & Me. Both of these prenatals are non-GMO verified and gluten-free, which are important to me. I like to rotate through these four brands because I believe variety is important.
Fermented Cod Liver Oil/Butter Oil Blend- Ever since I started taking this I have not had a cold, which has been well over a year. It's also the only product that has ever made my skin clear. It's ridiculously expensive though. I order mine from Radiant Life Company because it's surprisingly cheaper than buying it on Amazon.
Prenatal DHA- When I can't afford the fermented cod liver oil/butter oil, my next favorite fish oil is Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA.
Probiotics- I can't say enough about how great these probiotics are from Klaire Labs. They are the most potent probiotics I've found. My kids and I take them and it keeps everything movin! I like to try different probiotic brands from time to time so that my body is exposed to different strains of beneficial bacteria. If I could only take one supplement, this would be it.
Vitamin D- I take Pure Encapsulations Liquid Vitamin D3 in the winter when I'm not in the sun very much. I also monitor my vitamin D levels so I know how much to take. I wouldn't suggest taking it unless you know you're deficient.
Supplements I give my kids daily:
Multivitamin- Dr. Mercola's Children's Multivitamin
Fish Oil- One of my kids takes Dr. Mercola's Krill Oil for kids. My other takes Nordic Naturals EPA, which I find really helps with things like concentration and mood.
Probiotics- Sometimes they take Klaire Labs Ther-Biotic, and other times they take Dr. Mercola's Probiotic Packs. Both are powders and I mix it into their applesauce or smoothie. Lately I've been giving them the Klaire Labs Chewable because we don't always have applesauce or something to put the powder in. For babies I use Klaire Labs Ther-Biotic Infant Formula mixed in expressed milk.
Vitamin D- I give my kids and baby one drop (400 IU) of SunDrops per day. We also spend time in the sun without sunscreen!
For immune support:
Elderberry Syrup- I give this to my kids at the first sign of a cold and until they are well again and it helps them to get over their colds quickly. Sometimes we make our own, but if I don't have elderberries available, I buy this one.
Colloidal Silver- I also give my kids colloidal silver at the fist sign of a cold.
Garlic- It has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. This one is really potent.

Personal Care
Topical Antibacterial Cream- One of my kiddos is prone to skin infections. So instead of using an over-the-counter antibiotic ointment, we use colloidal silver cream, which clears it right up.
Deodorant- Crystal Body Deodorant Spray is the only natural deodorant that has ever worked for me.
Soap- Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild Liquid Soap is the only thing my kids and husband use in the shower, including for their hair. I, on the other hand, only use it for my body wash and facial cleanser, and use other products for shampoo and conditioner. We also use this in soap dispensers throughout the house, diluting it with 2 parts water.
Toothpaste- I've tried using my own homemade toothpaste and I felt like it was too abrasive. So I buy Squigle Tooth Builder, which is fluoride free and contains xylitol.
Water Flosser- This thing is amazing. Ever since I've been using my oral irrigator my dentist says my gums look super strong and healthy. I use it after each time I eat, and like half of my meal pours out into the sink. It's pretty gross.
Mouthwash- This mouthwash is pretty amazing too.
Feminine Hygiene Products- These tampons and pads are organic, and free of perfume, dyes, chlorine, and chemicals. A more economical option, though, is the Diva Cup for pre and post childbirth.
Moisturizer- Eminence Herbal Recovery Oil is completely natural and organic, and rich in vitamins and minerals. I also love Jojoba Oil.
Bug Spray- I like Nature for Nature Organic Insect Repellent. It smells good.

Filters
Air filter- We've been using Holmes True HEPA Allergen Remover for the past four years. We move it to a different bedroom every few days. We've been happy with it. It seems to remove most of the dust in our rooms. This one's on my wish list though!
Shower Filter- We use the Aquasana 4100 shower filter. It reduces VOCs, heavy metals, chlorine, and balances water pH.
Water Filter- Right now we're filling up at the Glacier Water or Primo machines. We also have the PUR Advanced Faucet Water Filter on our kitchen sink which reduces a lot of contaminants, but not fluoride. We only use it as a backup if we run out of Primo or Glacier water. I also like to drink a variety of water (spring, reverse osmosis, distilled), since there is so much debate about which one is best. The Royal Berkey is definitely on my wish list though!
